As discussed during our foundation meeting on the 8th October 2018, the RMC Residents Association has started to contact public authorities to present our case and get some help.

Timeline Comms:

1 - Initial letter sent to the Member of Parliament for Poplar and Limehouse.

2 - Disappointing response from the Foreign Office.

3 - Consequent request from our Association to our MP to request help from the Minister of State for Housing and the Crown Commissioner.

4 - [21 Nov 2018] Enquiry response regarding: Chinese Embassy – Royal Mint Court.

5 - [08 Feb 2019] Second reply from Malthouse re: Chinese embassy.

6 - [14 Feb 2019] Lord McFall response.

Hopefully, these letters might help our residents to better understand what progress has been made since the formal residents’ meeting took place.

Please be all aware that as residents, we may receive some communications from Tower Hamlets Council, the British Government or Chinese Government, therefore it is important for all residents to know how this process is going and the current status of these conversations.
